What we offer

Services that are available for clients, therapists, and other mental health and healing arts practitioners

I offer a variety of services for those seeking mental health care as well as professionals in the mental health and holistic healing professions.  Please click on one of the items listed below to learn more

    Individual therapy

Individual therapy focused on your goals to improve your mental health and wellbeing.  I have training in EMDR for healing trauma, art therapy for anxiety, depression, and a variety of other concerns, as well as one-on-one support for integrating challenging psychedelic experiences (see more in “psychedelic integration.”)  Therapy is covered by insurance and I do accept some, but not all, insurance plans.  I can only provide therapy to people physically located in Oregon at the time of the session.  Therapy can be in person in Portland or online.

    Clinical Supervision

Are you a graduate student in counseling or art therapy and preparing for your new career? Or an associate counselor working in a clinic or that does not provide free supervision (or you would just like additional off-site supervision)?

If you are looking for a clinical supervisor please reach out to me for a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I have been licensed (LPC) since 2011 and supervising professional counselor associates since 2018.

My approach to supervision is developmental, meaning that for a new therapist I will be more directive and didactic in my approach, and will be available to you as a supportive mentor to help guide you as you develop your confidence.

If you are more experienced or even fully licensed in another state and already practicing independently, our work together in supervision would feel more like professional consultation.

Do you already have a supervisor at your work site but need more? I offer a monthly supervision group that may be a great fit for you, and it is ok to have more than one supervisor!

Group and individual supervision are both offered- group is scheduled on a monthly basis for 90 minutes with a maximum of 6 members. Individual supervision can be 60-90 minutes depending on your needs.

Group is $55/90 minute group, and individual supervision is $150/hr. *rates are subject to change so please check with me in case this page is not updated in a timely manner.

    Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a legal form of psychedelic therapy offered in-office using sub-lingual ketamine prescribed by a physician. Please reach out to me if this is a service you may be interested in. I can meet with you for a free consultation, and if  appropriate to move forward we can schedule a mental health intake and I’ll provide a referral to a physician for a medical evaluation to determine if ketamine is safe for you, and if so they will write you a prescription for ketamine to be used in session.

My current rate for KAP is $425 for a 3-hour session

    Psychedelic Integration

Have you experienced a profound altered state, either through recreational or therapeutic psychedelic use, participation in a plant medicine ceremony, or spiritual experience? Working with a therapist trained in psychedelic integration can be supportive in helping you to make sense of these experiences. I approach these experiences in a non-pathologizing way, supporting you to create meaning from these experiences which can help you to make sense of yourself and the world in a new way. Following a psychedelic experience it is important to work on integration as soon as possible, ideally within a month, while the experience is still fresh and new.

    Professional Consultation

Are you a therapist, psychologist, social worker, psychedelic facilitator or coach seeking support? Need help with challenging clients or an ethical dilemma?

In my therapy career I have experienced many challenges as well as successful outcomes. Working in under-resourced systems serving the most marginalized clients, while a meaningful and highly educational experience, led to extreme burnout after 5 years.  I decided to take the leap towards working for myself, and built a successful private practice from scratch, learning along the way how to create a practice that is energetically and financially sustainable.

Balancing empathy with boundary setting, navigating burnout and recovery, and showing up for your own clients when dealing with grief or other difficult life transitions, as well as logistical challenges, including how to get your private practice started,  are examples of common topics for consultation.  As someone who has been in the psychedelic/plant medicine world for many years, I offer professional consultation on the topic of psychedelic integration and psychedelic therapy.   If you have questions or are facing blocks in these areas, or others not mentioned, please reach out to me for a free consultation to see how I may be able to support you.

I also offer support and training for creating your private practice. At this time it is offered as professional consultation but I am working on a structured course on this topic.

Are you working in the psychedelic therapy field and looking for case consultation or support?

A part of the psychedelic therapy world since 2016, I have been following psychedelic research since the 00’s as this is a primary interest of mine and one of the reasons I entered this field. As a trained psychedelic therapy facilitator, I am familiar with many of the ethical and clinical challenges in providing psychedelic therapy and integration as a licensed therapist.

    Lesley Burke, LPC ATR

My approach to practicing therapy has gone through multiple iterations over the past 2 decades.  Starting out in community mental health care, i have extensive training in conventional evidence-based approaches to therapy.  I have worked in residential and outpatient addiction treatment, an outpatient eating disorder clinic, a program focused on healthcare professionals in recovery, and my own private practice.

The longer I work in this field, the more I realize that I have so much to learn and I consider myself a life-long student.  The human psyche is complex, dynamic, multi-faceted, reflecting internal experience and narratives, collective processes and unconscious shadows.

Some approaches that have helped me to make sense of the landscape of human experience and emotion include trauma therapies such as EMDR which assists the nervous system to process and release stored traumatic memories, somatic based approaches to bypass deep seated but unhelpful inner narratives, and transpersonal therapy which acknowledges collective, ancestral, and spiritual processes impacting our relationships with ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Art therapy being a more direct way to access the unconscious as well as to heal the nervous system through activation of flow states is one of my preferred methods of working.  Art therapy is easily combined with talk therapy to access more of the full spectrum of expression
